Our bikinis are crafted from ECONYL® (link to their homepage), a high-quality regenerated nylon made from discarded fishing nets, fabric scraps, and industrial plastic waste. This innovative material not only reduces ocean pollution but also offers exceptional durability, elasticity, and comfort.

We source our swimwear fabric from Carvico, an industry leader in sustainable textiles, known for their luxurious, high-performance, ultra-soft, and UV-resistant fabrics. Their premium Italian craftsmanship ensures our bikinis are chlorine-resistant, quick-drying, and incredibly smooth against the skin—perfect for every eco-conscious adventurer.

Our bikinis are proudly manufactured in Italy by a small, women-owned atelier where just three skilled artisans meticulously sew each piece with love and precision. By working with a small-scale, ethical production house, we ensure familiarity, fair wages, excellent working conditions, and a deep commitment to craftsmanship, making every COCOU bikini not just sustainable, but truly special.

At COCOU Conscious Couture, everything starts with a vision for ethical, high-quality swimwear, designed with both sustainability and timeless style in mind. As the sole founder and designer, I personally create every pattern, cut, and design detail, ensuring that each bikini reflects my commitment to eco-conscious fashion and flattering, comfortable fits. I researched different sustainable fabric options and compared which ones would me most suitable for my goal of having long lasting, durable and luxuriously comfortable fabrics that are as sustainable as teh industry currently allows.

Our bikinis are produced in small, exclusive batches—only around 30 pieces per color, distributed across all sizes—to reduce waste and avoid overproduction. Manufactured in a small, female-owned atelier in Italy, our bikinis are hand-sewn by three skilled women, bringing the designs to life with precision, care, and expert craftsmanship.
